COPS Practice Management

Anger Management Software for Class Providers

COPS is anger management program software for providers running court-referred or voluntary classes. Teams enroll participants, schedule groups, record session attendance and facilitator notes, track program fees, and generate progress letters or completion documents from templates. It organizes class administration without prescribing a curriculum, judging treatment effectiveness, or guaranteeing acceptance by a referring court.

Anger management classes may receive referrals from different sources while sharing the same facilitators and rooms. Administrative consistency means knowing which curriculum a participant entered, which sessions were attended, and what remains to be reviewed. COPS gives the team a connected operational record while the provider defines its teaching approach and completion policy.

COPS features

Program workflows in one platform.

Rolling intake makes it difficult to identify each participant’s class requirement.

Create a program for the curriculum you deliver and enroll each client in the appropriate program. Use recurring scheduling for weekly groups and manual scheduling for individual sessions. Custom fields can capture referral instructions or required session counts. Staff should verify those instructions at intake instead of assuming that all referrals have identical requirements.

Facilitator notes are separate from the attendance roster.

Assign staff to scheduled sessions and keep session notes alongside the operational workflow. Bulk roster marking distinguishes attended, absent, and unmarked entries. Before a make-up session is credited, staff can review the original attendance and document their decision. COPS records what happened; it does not automatically evaluate whether a participant has met a behavioral goal.

Completion letters are written before staff finish checking attendance.

Use attendance reports and generated-document history to review the source records before creating a letter from a merge-tag template. A template can reflect the provider’s wording and referral details. The completion decision remains with your staff, and acceptance criteria remain with the recipient; the software cannot guarantee that a court or employer will accept a particular letter.

Class fees and account questions take time away from preparation.

Fee schedules, client balances, and transaction history keep program charges connected with the enrollment record. The client portal supports card payments and receipts, with additional staff-assisted payment options through Stax. Review your charging and refund policies during setup so staff can distinguish an attendance question from a financial question when a participant calls.

Data security

COPS production runs on dedicated AWS infrastructure with KMS encryption at rest for the database and document storage, TLS encryption in transit, and a full audit log of staff activity. COPS is a HIPAA-track platform: HIPAA-capable infrastructure is in place, and production HIPAA service requires executed Business Associate Agreements and HIPAA configuration before any protected health information is stored. Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Does COPS include an anger management curriculum?

No curriculum is promised here. COPS supplies the program administration tools around your curriculum: enrollment, scheduling, attendance, session notes, fees, and documents. Your instructors remain responsible for the content, methods, and standards used to decide whether someone has completed the class.

Can we run voluntary and court-referred groups?

Use program enrollments and referral information to organize the groups your agency delivers. Custom fields can record instructions relevant to each referral. Review the reporting requirements for voluntary participants separately from court-referred participants instead of sending the same disclosure to every referring source.

How do we handle missed sessions?

Staff can record an absence and schedule an appropriate make-up session using the scheduler. Attendance reports show absences and unmarked entries for review. COPS also includes automated alerts and reminders, so staff hear about missed sessions without waiting for a report.

Can we generate a completion certificate?

Merge-tag document templates can produce certificates or letters using client data, and generated-document history records their production. Before issuing one, staff should check attendance against the program’s completion policy. Bring a blank certificate to the demo so the required fields and review steps can be demonstrated.

Is anger management the same as a batterer intervention program?

Do not assume the two services have interchangeable curricula or referral requirements. This page focuses on anger management class operations; the separate BIP page describes administration for batterer intervention providers. Discuss each program’s enrollment, session counts, and reporting needs when comparing the platform.
